Day 1 : London - Delhi by flight (Kindly Advise details)

Arrive at Delhi airport. After clearing your custom & immigrations you shall be met by our representative outside the exit gate of the arrival hall. After meeting/assistance and traditional welcome at the airport transfer to hotel. Rest of the day/night at leisure to overcome jet-leg of the long flight & to acclimatize to our weather conditions. Overnight stay at hotel.

Delhi - The capital of kingdoms and empires is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope - that is India. Don't let your first impressions of Delhi be your last impression, because the picture of a cow in a traffic jam is not all that you will experience.

We will take you much beyond the madcap façade and you will be able to discover the inner peace of a city rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, rooted deep in history and totally addictive to epicureans. Both Old and New Delhi exert a beguiling charm on visitors. Lose yourself unwinding the secrets of the city's Mughal past in the labyrinthine streets of Old Delhi before emerging into the wide open spaces of imperial New Delhi, with its ordered governmental vistas and generous leafy avenues.

Day 2 :Delhi

Morning breakfast at hotel and at 0900 hrs leave for combined city tour of old and new Delhi.

New Delhi - An extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, 12th century Minaret- The Qutub Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The Qutub Minar was constructed with red sandstone and marble, and is the tallest minaret in India,with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8 ft), contains 379 stairs to reach the top, The Lotus Temple, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - The Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, The President’s House, which was once the House of British viceroys and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.

Old Delhi - A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and the Red Fort-once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire.

Note: City tour of Delhi on Monday may kindly be avoided as some of the monuments remain closed.

Day 3 : Delhi - Jaipur (265 Kms)

Morning breakfast at the hotel and at 0900 hrs drive to Jaipur - The picturesque capital of Rajasthan, built by the warrior-astronomer Raja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727, is full of formidable Forts, enchanting Palaces and lovely temples. Upon arrival check in at hotel.

Popularly known as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered stone, painted so in honor of the visiting royal consort of Queen Victoria. Day 4 :Jaipur

Morning breakfast at hotel and at 0800 hrs proceed to city tour of Jaipur.

Amber Fort Palace - Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Enjoy the decorated elephant ride that will take you up the hill to the fort and make you feel like a true Indian Maharaja/ Maharani . Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate expression.

City Palace - A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Complex which houses the rare and rich collection of ornaments, arms, royal costumes, carpets and decorative art objects of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art and architecture

Jantar Mantar - A 18th century Observatory. This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consists of outsized astronomical instruments that are still in use.

Hawa Mahal - The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Its five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women

Visit a rug factory and see the ladies working away at the intricate patterns or visit a gem factory and see the gem cutting and polishing process. A visit to the Birla Temple at the end of the day. This Temple is beautiful both inside and out, and is a great place to visit at the end of the day - it doesn't take much time to see it so it's very easy to fit in as a final attraction

Day 5 :Jaipur/Fathepursikri/Agra (250 KMS)

Morning breakfast at hotel and at 0800 hrs drive to Agra - Agra the erstwhile capital of Hindustan, is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna. It achieved fame as the capital of the Mughal emperors from 1526 to 1658 and remains a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

En route visit Fatehpur Sikri - The city of victory beautifully preserved. The sandstone mansions of Sikri are experiments in art and architecture and to a great extent uphold Akbar's ideals and visions. Then the Mughal Emperor Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his head quarters, so he built a majestic fort; due to shortage of water, however, he had to ultimately move his headquarters to Agra Fort.. It is a veritablefairytale city and its "ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of it'sgrandeur. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.

Thereafter continue your drive to Agra. Upon arrival check in at hotel.

Agra - Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire - giving it the name Dar-ul-Khilafat {seat of the Emperor}. Today a visitor to Agra is caught up in a world of contrasting edifices, of red sandstone and white marble, narrow galleys and quaint buggies, and that irresistible charm that this favorite city of the Mughals still retains. It is not surprising, that modern Agra still reflects its Mughal heritage most conspicuously. A walk down the narrow bustling streets of thecity will introduce the visitor to the wafting aroma of Mughlai Cuisine.

Upon arrival check in at hotel. After a quick wash & change leave for city tour of Agra.

Lotus Temple, Delhi Tour PackageTaj Mahal - One of the seven wonder of the New world. A pristine monument of undying love. Little needs to be said about this architectural wonder, which is always the soul raison-de-etre for every tourist's visit to Agra. Built by Shah Jahan, the Taj is a white marble memorial for his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. This monument took 22 years to be completed and was designed, and planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa. Apart from it's stunning design balance and perfect symmetry, the Taj is also noted particularly for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work ever seen.

Agra Fort - The first of the great mughal buildings where three Mughal emperor left their foot prints. Built by the famed Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, the fort is made predominantly of red sandstone. Ensconced within is the picture perfect Pearl Mosque, which is a major tourist attraction.

Note: Taj Mahal remains closed on every Friday for maintenance purpose.

Day 6 : Agra - Jhansi by Superfast Shatabdi Exp at 0817/1048 hrs Jhansi/Orchha (25 kms)

Early morning breakfast at hotel and at 0715 hrs, meeting/assistance at hotel and transfer to railway station to board superfast shatabdi express at 0815 hrs. Reach Jhansi at 1045 hrs. Meeting/assistance at railway station and transfer to Orchha. Afternoon city tour enroute visit Orchha, the famous Raja Ram temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Fort Palace, cenotaphs " Chhatries" on the bank of river Betwa.

Rest of the day at leisure or free for independent activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 : Orchha - Khajuraho (175 Kms)

Morning breakfast at the hotel.

At 0800 hrs proceed to Khajuraho, the many explanations of Love.

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is considered to be one of the "seven wonders" of India. Khajuraho was the first capital of the Chandelas, who rose to rule the region in the 9th century. Ethereal enchanting and erotic Khajuraho conjures up images of a society that celebrated life. However, there have been many theories regarding the sculptures adorning the facades and interiors of the Khajuraho temples. Some of them believe these temples to be centers of tantrik mysticism, which regards sex as an important part of human development and the attainment of the Absolute.

Others believe that they were constructed as such to lure men and women back to the family and worldly life, which play an important part in Hinduism, from the austerities preached by the Buddha that were gaining favor with people of that time. Upon arrival check in at the hotel.

After noon city tour of Khajuraho discover the great erotic temple complex of Western and Eastern group. These temples were built between 9th century and 12th century A.D. and are the most exquisite specimen of Hindu architecture and sculpture in medieval India. Though erotic sculptures are the main attraction to common visitor, these erotic figures are only part of sublime and sensuality. The temples in the western group complex are large and lavishly decorated, displaying the wealth and power of its rulers, these are dedicated to either Lord Vishnu or Shiva. Rest of the day free for your own activities or to explore the local market. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8 :Khajuraho - Varanasi by flight (We will advise you details and cost on receipt of exact travel dates)

Morning breakfast at hotel.

In time meeting assistance at hotel and transfer to Khajuraho airport to board your flight for Varanasi, also known as "Banaras" and "Kashi". Upon arrival in Varanasi meeting assistance at airport and transfer to hotel.

Afternoon leave for excursion to Sarnath, ten kms north of Varanasi where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon and organized his first order of monks, the Sangha. Among the excavated buildings are monasteries, shrines and the foundation stupas. Today Sarnath is considered as one of the richest place to have antiques since the Ashoka period to the 12th century. Rest of the day at leisure or free to explore local market and the city. Overnight stay at hotel.

Varanasi also has its place in history with many events and incidents being related with it. From time immemorial Varanasi has been the center of education, religion, art and culture. For every visitor Varanasi has different experiences to offer. The shimmering red and golden water of the Ganges when rays of dawn falls on them, the high banks, the temples, the Ashrams, the pavilions all are an experience in themselves. Chanting of Mantras, the hymns along with the fragrance of incense fills the air with mysticism which enthrals every person. One must not miss the opportunity of visiting the Dasaswamedh Ghat in the evening when after Aarti, thousands of earthen lamps are immersed in the waters of the holy Ganges and the floating lamps give a divine look to the river at dusk.

Not only for its temples, Ghats and Ganges Banaras has produced many exponents of art, music, literature and crafts. These people were not different from others but it was the tradition of Banaras which moulded them in the way they came out to be. Why only the luminaries, Varanasi has excelled in the art of silk weaving. The Banarasi silk sarees and brocades are cherished as collector's items across the world.

As a eternal city with rich and vibrant past, it has no exquisitely carved palaces, no impregnable fort no architectural splendor but still the city has an inherent charm of its own. The ghats dotted with temples, the maze of alleys along the ghats, what ever Varanasi has is enough to attract the visitor again and again. The city which did not die even after being plundered many times is in a true sense a fascinating area to wander around.

Day 9 :Varanasi - Delhi by flight (We will advise you details and cost on receipt of exact travel dates)

At dawn enjoy a boat ride over river Ganges. The river Ganges dominates the life of the city.

Bathing in the river is a daily act of a pilgrim. In this ancient city of pilgrimage, the bathing ghats are main attraction. People flock here in large numbers every day to take bath and worship in the temples built beside the river bank. Centuries old tradition to offer puja to the rising Sun is still maintained. Varanasi has many ghats, these ghats rich in love and legend, over 5 kms. in length. only fewghats are used for cremation, dead bodies are burnt and multitudes bathe in the sacred stream. "Death in Varanasi, is way of life, to die here is a liberation from round of samsara" (the unceasing cycle of life, death and rebirth).

Later return to hotel for breakfast and wash and change.

Thereafter leave for temple/city tour of Varanasi, there are about 2,000 odd temples along the banks of the Ganges at Varanasi. The Kashi Vishwanath temple in Benares is the goal of the thousands of pilgrims that visit this ancient pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is popularly known as the golden Temple due the Gold plating done on its 15.5 meter high spire. One tonne of gold donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh has been used in the gold plating of the spire. The temple was destroyed in the various invasions and was rebuilt in 1776 by Rani Ahilyabai of Indore. Also visit Bharat Kala museum, Banaras Hindu University, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Bharat Mata Temple, dedicated to Mother India. In time return to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or free for independent activities.

Thereafter transfer to airport to board your overnight flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, meeting at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 :Delhi/London by flight (Kindly advice Details)

Morning breakfast at hotel. In time meeting assistance at hotel and transfer to airport to board your return flight to home country.
